Freshcare is preparing to release the Food Safety & Quality Standard Edition 5 (FSQ5).
The new FSQ5 standard will incorporate Supply Chain and FSQ standards.
FSQ5 is scheduled for release on 1 September 2026, together with updated resources, forms, implementation guides and training options.
For existing Freshcare businesses, recertification audits to FSQ5 become available from 1 March 2027. Audits to FSQ4.2 and SCS2 can continue until 30 June 2027, with all audits required to be conducted to FSQ5 from 1 July 2027.
Freshcare has also advised that updated FSQ5 training will become available from October 2026.
